Three Day Weekend

The month of November usually goes by fast because of Veteran's Day and Thanksgiving and I am even more excited about it because it is more time at home with Riley Grace! Riley has been eager to move for quite some time now. At the beginning of the school year we would be able to come home and put her in her jumper-roo and she would bounce in that for an hour or so. Now she wants nothing to do with it. She has been rocking on all fours for a while and I have been patiently been waiting for her to start crawling. It has been a slow progression, but it has finally happened. If we put a toy out of her reach, she will go from sitting to her tummy then eventually it's in her hands. The crawling isn't quite organized, but she is scooting herself to where she wants to go with her arms and legs. I have yet to document her crawling, but I will as she gets better at it.

Also, for the past couple weeks Riley has been pulling herself up. At first it started with her reaching for your fingers and then from there pulling herself up and standing. She absolutely loves to be standing now - - most of the time just sitting doesn't do it for her. She will whine until you give her your fingers, she will pull herself up, have a big smile on her face and be happy as a clam. Until a couple days ago she has only been able to pull herself up by our fingers, but that has now changed. In her tub she is able to pull herself up a little bit and last night she pulled herself up on her laundry basket. I have been watching and waiting to see if she would be able to do it on her own...last night as I was putting away her laundry she grabbed on to the basket and pulled herself up as I watched. It was pretty neat to see! Below are some pictures of Riley standing up playing on her musical table. She is such a cutie!
