Happy 9 Months & Happy New Year

This past Thursday Riley turned 9 months and I have been unable to photograph her until this morning. Since Christmas we have been all over the place visiting family and friends - a much crazier schedule and pace than Riley is use to. It seemed to come crashing down Thursday/Friday. We decided that for the remainder of our time off we needed to focus on staying at home and keeping her on somewhat of a schedule for naps and bedtime. So, for the past couple days she has been a little challenging when it comes to naps and bedtime, but it is all for the best for when we start back into our normal routine on Tuesday morning. 


Here is a picture of Riley this morning before we headed out for some errands.

The tutu skirt is from Auntie Beth and doesn't actually go with this outfit. When I was getting the shirt and pants out of her draw she pulled out the pink skirt so I put it on also - why not! She loves to stand and pulls herself up every chance she gets. 


Riley moves to the other side of the infant room on Tuesday. The side of the room she is moving to is for babies who are mobile - crawling, walking. I have always been excited to have her move to this room and be more mobile and start doing things - - but it is a sad day because its more proof of how big she is getting! She will probably be in this side of the room through the end of the school year, but there is a small possibility she will be move to the toddler room before June - all depends on the number of babies coming in to the day care.


Clint, Riley and I spent New Years Eve at home, relaxing. We brought Riley outside to ride her dinosaur in the neighborhood, which she loved, plus it was a great day to be outside. We then spent the rest of the night playing and watching college basketball. Riley was in bed by 6, I was in bed by 9 and Clint tried his best to stay up until midnight, but only made it until 1130.  


2011 was a great year - we welcomed Riley Grace into our family - and we look forward to 2012 as we watch Riley grow and experience new things!!
